Pets Are Guests, Too!

We understand the importance of the family pet and know how it is to leave them behind so here at Basin Harbor, furry guests are treated to our exceptional service as well as their owners. Our pet amenities include Vermont made biscuits , pick up mitts and a welcome letter from the BHC Mascots, Piccolo, Ava and Fannie. Piccollo and Ava host a dog walk weekly with their owner, Pennie Beach and dog walking/dog sitting services are available.

All well-behaved pets are welcome in cottage accommodations only, for an additional charge per day, per pet and do not have to be crated or caged when owners are absent.  Dogs must be kept leashed at all times on property and kept away from the pool and waterfront areas. The woods surrounding Basin Harbor are ideal for walking in the cool cover of the forest and the Edgewater Trail has some great swimming spots. It is understood that owners are responsible for any
damage their pets may cause and that owners will "pick up" after their dogs.

Our "VIC" amenity is available for an additional $125 and includes a logoed dog bed, custom collar and leash.  And kitties are not forgotten here...A "VIF" package is also available for felines with catnip chair, food dish and kitty bed.

Another favorite pet attraction in our area is local artist, Sean Callahan. His portraits of animals are heartwarming and many dog owners have taken advantage of his talents and immortalized their pets in watercolor.
