Basin Harbor Club and Resort was the first golf course and first resort property in Vermont to become a Certified Audubon Sanctuary. The Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program is an education and certification program that helps organizations and businesses protect our environment while enhancing the bottom line by improving efficiency and promoting conservation efforts.

The Nature Center offers classes, treks and provides a quiet space for reference and learning. Murals of the local mountain regions and habitat surround the room.The nature center focuses on providing tours and activities to our guests that are educational, hands-on, entertaining and unique.

Abbey Anderson & Matt Witten, our naturalists on staff, have a wonderful line up of classes for adults and kids including driftwood art, nature sketches , destination hikes, guided kayak treks down Otter Creek and Lake Champlain. Other outdoor education will use the interpretive trail system at Basin Harbor.
